You warned us Lord against factions, anger, rivalries, dissensions, and divisions, but we did not listen. (Galatians 5:20).
Forgive us Lord and help us forge a new path.
Help us to conquer our fears and extinguish our hates, to look up and move beyond our endless scrolling so that we might see and greet and meet our neighbors.
Help us to build new bonds forged out of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Raise up for us leaders of wisdom and courage, integrity and foresight, compassion and commitment to our common good.
May we become a people of peace and hope.
Amen
